Last Project B.N.

We spent the weekend doing probably our last landscaping project before Nolan comes around. We semi-finished our garden on the corner of our lot by the street. Sara had planted all the flowers earlier but it was a mess of weeds and grass around it. We killed all the weeds, put down some landscaping fabric, and brought in a bunch of rock. Sara's parents came down and helped us alot with it. They have a trailer that we could use to go pick up the rock. I think it turned out really nice. We just have to finish the edging around the outside of it. We laid out some black edging for now, but we'll probably put landscaping pavers around it when we get a chance. We'll have to add some plants or bushes to the rock as well, but it definitely looks alot more finished now.

Here's a kind-of before shot. This is after we killed alot of the weeds and grass and had laid out the edging. the flower garden in the middle is kind of an "eye" shape. We didn't really plan it that way, but it's kind of cool it turned out that way though. (If you're a couple dorky optometrists).

In progress....Nancy laying down some fabric as John and Sara went to get another load of rock. We put 5 trailer loads of rock down. It pretty much covers it, but we'll probably need a few more to fill it in later.

Here's the rock crew in action.....Almost finished.
We finished about 10 minutes before it started raining so it worked out perfectly.
