Well, our little man had his first doctors appointment, and besides pooing twice and peeing on the exam table, things went fairly well. He is healthy and in the average percentiles (except for his big feet and length of course). he has a cephalohematoma (bumped my pelvis with his quick exit strategy) i guess this is pretty normal but he has a slight bit of jaundice because the bruise is reabsorbing. we're just supposed to watch it for now.
sleeping has been slowly getting a bit better, though I'm still pretty exhausted. i try and nap some during the day. I don't know if this ever happens to those of you who work every day, but you know that feeling you get either before you go to bed or first thing in the morning... something like, "dang, here we go again" - thankful you have a job but a tiny bit of dread that you have to get up and go AGAIN. Well, that happens to me around 8pm every night - because i definitely have taken on third shift - my work begins=)
I'm SO greatful for wonderful parents. my mom and dad came and cleaned our whole house, including window washing, clothes washing etc. my mom even cleaned out our fridge! she also cooked us a wonderful meal of beef stroganoff - with leftovers as well! they also insisted we go on our first date away from nolan - wierd because it hasn't been long enough to feel like we're missing our dating habits!! We had a great time - and baby loved his time with Grandma and Grandpa!
