I'm in Love...

With TWO men... My big man of course and now my little man. Talk about a quick sweep me off my feet method - this little guy has some skills. I'm feeling surprisingly great. (I now officially have a new pain scale so the pain I feel right now is NOTHIN' compared to childbirth sans epidural:) Plus I just got a great cat-nap with poor Velvet (who doesn't know what hit her) so am feeling a bit refreshed - we got off schedule after a wonderful night-time water gush / labor situation Sunday/Monday AM. I ended up with 3 doses of ptosin which hurried things along since there was some meconium in the fluid. It worked out great because I entered the hospital around midnight and held my little man at 6:16 AM. So much for my planned 36 hours of labor - God is AWESOME!!! We are SOOOOO blessed to have a healthy 7 lb-er - he lost a bit, like normal despite some great breastfeeding efforts on both our parts. (we're getting it down well I think) Nolan gets pretty excited to eat=) I just look at him and cry now because I think he's so incredible and so perfect. He certainly takes after his Daddy - you should see his nice incredibly long fingers, toes and feet !!! I think he'll be palming a basketball in no time. (or playing an octave plus a third on the piano.) I guess we'll find out. So here he is - Nolan Michael's first photos...

This is the pre-ptosin photo (still smiling)
