La Crosse Firehouse Tour

Nolan LOVES firetrucks. Yes, his favorite book is appropriately named "Fire Truck" and is about a boy named Matt (we call him Nolan) who loves firetrucks so much that he turned into one. I think we read it twice daily. Anyway, Nolan was thrilled when the playgroup we go to on Fridays had it's monthly outing at the firestation. Nolan got to see all the trucks and the devices, dials, hoses to his little heart's desire. They ran a "fire drill" and we got to see all 11 firemen come down the big bronze pole, which Nolan is still talking about. We also got to see their living quarters, kitchen and offices (Nolan wasn't as thrilled with these) and threw a tantrum when I didn't let him wander around to check out all the other trucks instead. The joys of a two year old. Luckily it was short lived and we proceeded to get some nice photos of Nolan with his trucks.

  1. That is awesome! Sounds like our boys are loving the same things. Sam loves fire trucks! How fun that Nolan got to tour the fire station. We don't get to see a lot of firetrucks out here, but the firetrucks in Winona go past Sam's daycare all the time. Such joy for little boys!
