... by Tiffany, so here goes... (Scott is leaving it up to me)
1) I grew up on a farm. We had sheep, horses, ducks, chickens, cats and a dog. I used to get in trouble because I would go "visit" the baby lambs in the pasture and forget to close the gate - they once followed me right into our house! oops - mom wasn't happy!
2) I love to quilt (you probably already know that). It's such a weird hobby - even I think so. To tell you the truth, my favorite part is designing patterns - I enjoy the calculations required to get it to fit a certain desired size and finding the right color combinations, and then watching the project come together. It's funny because that is the same reason I actually enjoy tile work - I love measuring and getting things to fit.
2) I hate following recipes, instructions, or directions. In fact, I've been known to copy down only the ingredients in a recipe and then throw it together. Luckily I haven't had many disasters. This extends to quilting projects as well - I cannot follow a pattern - I must design it myself!
3) I am very political at heart. I think this is from my upbringing - my parents are over the top=) (I try and keep my mouth shut most of the time) but as some of you know, if you get me going, it is hard for me to stop! I won't bore you with ANY more details =)
4) I am a HORRIBLE bowler. I am NOT exaggerating. I once bowled a game of TWELVE. I spent most of the time apologizing to my neighbors in the next lane over for interfering with their game. (I'm a gutter hopper.) However, I recently discovered a hidden talent - nintendo wii bowling - I seem to rock at that!!!! I even beat Scott!
5) I am enjoying motherhood leaps and bounds more than I thought I would. I have to be honest with you - I really thought I was in for it! I am so amazed every day with the way the Lord has blessed Scott and I with our little miracle.
6) I grew an inch at age 20... I had surgery for scoliosis, so have 2 titanium rods fused to my spine. Fortunately this has not drastically interfered with my life since then, and I am surprisingly flexible enough. It has been confirmed though - scoliosis surgery is just about as painful as childbirth without an epidural. I'm not sure I'd recommend either of them.
7) HOW could I forget!? (It must be the whopping 10 degree weather tonight). I love gardening. Flowers, veggies, herbs - anything that grows, I try to grow it. I had a rough last summer with a new house and a new "pallet" to paint with gardens while I was a waddling prego-woman - I gave it my best shot=)

I am with you on the bowling...I am horrible as well!! When we were kids and they didn't have the automatic scoring machines my mom used to give me random strikes and spares so I wouldn't score so low!! And after seeing all of you pictures of your garden on the blog I must say that they are impressive!!
