Iceland

We made it back from Iceland. We had a great trip. It went by way too fast as all vacations do. We were there for 6 days and 5 nights. The jet lag was not too bad. We got to drive around the whole island. We drove about 1300 miles in our little rental car. We have lots of cool pictures so we'll have plenty of blog material for a while. Here's some of the waterfalls we got to see. They were everywhere.

This one was called Godafoss. Iceland became a Christian nation in 1000 AD, and supposedly their leader at the time stopped here and threw all his pagan idols in the water here.

This was Svartifoss. It wasn't that big but it was surrounded by all these black columns made of basalt.

This one was called Skogafoss. It was the tallest one we went too. It was almost 200 ft high.

This one is called Gulfoss. It was the largest volume of water that we saw. It has 2 tiers and the bottom tier drops into a deep narrow canyon. It was really loud.
