Geysir

These are my favorite pictures. These are a series of pictures from a geyser called Strokker. It is right next to the famous Geysir which is now dormant. Geysir is a famous geyser and it is where we get our common word "geyser" from. We have this burst mode on our camera that will take several pictures in a row over a few seconds.
I luckily captured the eruption as it was happening. It happens so quick when you watch it, you don't really see the dome of water form or all the air bubbles coming up to burst out. I was so excited to get these pictures that I forgot to take one of the entire eruption. It went about 30-40 feet in the air.
