calling the mommies...
Girls, I had a question and was wondering if anybody has any ideas about this one... So Nolan is TALL, barely fits in his carseat (legs hanging over the edge), HEAVY, and CAN'T WALK. I'd like to say I'm strong but I'm just not that buff. SO the combo of those things makes the question - how do I cart him around these days? If I go grocery shopping, he can't really sit in the front part, and I don't like to hook him on the front rail in his carseat, so I've been leaving him in the carseat and putting him IN the cart. Well, then I don't have a lot of room to actually put my groceries. I'd put him in his umbrella stroller, which he loves, and which we use for the mall, but then I have to somehow maneuver that plus the cart. Baby bjorn is way out of the question - that used to be my method. Maybe we're just in the in between stage? what did you guys do?

So here is what I do. Since no carts fit two carseats we have had to be creative. I used leave the boys in their carseats and put one in the front and one in the basket, leaving me no room for food. So at Meijer they have half carts, so I would take a big cart for the boys and a half cart for my food. Now, they have outgrown their carseats. So I do manage to take the double stroller in with me and manuver both the stroller and the cart. It is difficult at first, but believe it or not you get better at it. It is like riding a bike! Good luck!
ReplyDeleteMary sounds like she is most experinced in this:) I would say try the stroller. If you have a stoller seat cover you could try using that with blankets around Nolan to help support him. Good Luck!!!
ReplyDeleteCan he sit up? Addie LOVES sitting like a big kid in the front of the cart! Have you tried that?
