Recent Wildlife Sightings

Northern Cardinal
Weight: 1.5 oz.
Length: 21 cm
Food Habits: seeds, grain, insects, fruit
Behavior: non-migratory

This was a nice cardinal we saw in a recent snow storm. I think he's wondering why his species decided it wasn't a good idea to fly south for the winter.

Common Black Cat--Velvet
Weight: 11.4 lbs.
Length: 20 inches
Food Habits: dry cat food, mint chip ice-cream
Behavior: is considered a sunavore due to the constant need to be bathed in sunlight

Deere (A.K.A John Deere)
Weight: 500lbs.
Length: 42 inch deck
Food Habits: grassavore, snowavore
Behavior: can devour entire large fields of grass or huge snowfalls in very short times

I barely got the Deere in the picture due to its capability of high speed. You can tell it was a Deere though by its tell-tale tracks it left and the characteristic fresh droppings in the yard.

Nolanosaurus
Weight: 16 lbs.
Length: 26.5 inches
Food Habits: milkavore
Behavior: known for his incessant drooling

We caught the Nolanosaurus on the prowl. He gives the illusion of movement by moving his arms and legs continuously, but rarely moves from his position. He tries to devour everything in his path by placing it in his mouth, but due to the lack of teeth, mostly feeds off milk.
