We were up at Sara's parents this weekend. We were walking downtown and saw a payphone! Sara had to have her picture taken with it. Remember when people had to find a quarter to call someone when they were out and about away from their landline at home? Cell phones have not completely made the payphone extinct, but it's getting pretty close. I think George Bush nominated them for the endangered species list. This reminded me of old technology when Stacy and Dustin posted that question on their blog if people use online billpay. Sorry guys, I couldn't resist posting this.

Sweet! Ahh... the good old days!
ReplyDeleteMy sister (April) locked herself out of the van when she was pumping gas a couple of weeks ago. Her credit card, cell phone, everything was in the van. The owner of the gas station would not let her use the phone, and nobody would lend her a quarter for the pay phone that was in the parking lot. (Who does not give an 8 month pregnant lady a quarter?) There happened to be 2 quarters in the pay phone slot, and she had to actually call her husband to come and get her from the pay phone. So, they do still come in handy sometimes.
