(Nolan is actually the size of a 4.5 lb pineapple) but check out my cute little watermelon growing in my garden=) I was pretty shocked that they actually grow here! what fun! below is a photo of my veggie garden - thanks to my amazing and hard working husband, it is beautifully weed free and he fixed the areas that washed from our big rainstorm! So far I've been growing a plethora of cucumbers, buttercup squash (yummy!), raspberries and TONS of green beans. Unfortunately, my peas drowned and my spinach is all done with the hot weather. I've only had a couple tomatoes so far because of the drowning situation, but that should pick up pretty soon. The big experiment is the watermelon, and I also have cantaloupe (but they're not as cute when they're little). Can't wait until they ripen - summer fruits are one of the best things about being pregnant in the heat of August. (I just CAN'T STOP eating peaches!) I'm trying to think of other good things about being 8 months pregnant in the heat of Auguest.... NOPE, can't think of any=)
