Here are some more pictures from atop one of the bluffs surrounding Winona. It really is a pretty little city. There's about 30,000 people that live here. It has a few colleges, a business park, and some historic buildings in the downtown area so it's a nice mix. That's Lake Winona in the foreground that is separated by a road. The main bridge to Wisconsin that goes over the Mississippi river that was shut down is towards the background. As you can see, there are no other bridges close, so it was quite the detour around it. Winona State's campus is towards the right just above the lake. You can see the soccer and football fields pretty easy. Their mens basketball team won the NCAA division 2 national championship this year.
This is looking south east down the lake/river. The Winona hospital is at the bottom right at the end of the lake. The highway 61 at the bottom is such a beautiful drive. There's alot more bluffs on the MN side.
Here's a nice shot out the window on the commute. I took this on one of the bridge detour days. It was alot longer drive, but the scenery made up for it.

It looks like a beautiful place to live. We hope to visit sometime and see all these great places firsthand. Thanks for sharing.
