This is where I (Scott) work. It's called Winona Health Community Memorial Hospital. It's in Winona, MN. The eye care center is on the 3rd floor. It's a nice hospital. The 3 story addition on the front that you're looking at was added on 2 yrs ago. The eye center is in that part, so everything is pretty new. It has electronic medical records and is wireless, so we carry around a laptop computer all day to do the patient notes. It took some getting used to, but it is pretty easy now and pretty high tech. The hospital is located right under Sugarloaf. That's the name of the bluff with the hunk of limestone on top. It's the most famous landmark in the city. You can see it from several miles even across the Mississippi. So it's always easy to find the hospital.
Closer shot. The eye center takes up about half the third floor towards the right side.
This is the view out of my office. No sugarloaf, but you can see some of the bluffs across the mississippi. I took this before the trees were in bloom. It's alot greener now. We also have a view of the heli-pad. It's behind the white-ish box with the vents on it on the left of the picture. We don't get a helicopter too often, but it's fun to watch when it comes. It comes for more major traumas that get flown to Mayo clinic in Rochester or another hospital in La Crosse. Usually not so fun for the patient.
