The weather has finally warmed up enough to start doing some work outside now. We put the carriage hardware up for our garage doors. I think it dresses them up a little. You can compare it to the other picture from the last post. Sara's parent also came down last week with a bunch of pine trees they dug up alongside the road. We planted about 10 of them. We're making a forest along the east side of our property. They're only 2-3 feet right now but in 20 yrs we hopefully won't be able to see our neighbors' house. We also put in a weeping willow and a flowering crabtree out front. We also got some cool dogwood bushes/trees that we planted. They are cool because they have a red stem so they look good even in the winter time when all the leaves are gone.
Here's the "forest". You have to look real close but you can see the pine trees. The weeping willow is on the far left, it's kind of yellowish.
These are the dogwoods. You can see their red stems. They haven't flowered yet.
