Wisconsin Wildlife

We've had quite a bit of animal sightings around here of late who wanted their picture taken. These are our newest neighbors: a true wisconsin badger! I've never seen one before except for the red and white ones that are all over. There is a mom and 2 babies that made a den in our neighbor's yard. This was one of the babies that was a little more adventurous:

This is a patriotic bald eagle that wished Sara a happy birthday when we met Sara's family for a picnic:
This was a snapper turtle trying to cross the road:

Sara's parents built a loon nesting platform for their lake and they watched a pair of loons lay 2 eggs and then hatched some little baby loons that now swim along with the parents:

They also have alot of Blue Heron on their lake. The picture doesn't do it justice to how big they actually are:

  1. Wow - you got a great picture of one of the babies. They're still there, out playing near the hole at sunset tonight.

  2. I got to start taking my camera everywhere if I am going to try and compete! Amazing photography!
